Common Questions
What can we expect in our first counselling session?
Our first meeting is a gentle introduction, a time for you and your family to share your story in a calm, safe space while we discuss how we can best support your journey together.
How do you support children who are hesitant to talk?
For young children between the ages of five and 12, we use age-appropriate play, drawing, and storytelling to help them express themselves naturally. We make sure there is no pressure, and that they always have a soft place to land. For our youth, we offer a safe, respectful, and inclusive space where they can explore their thoughts and feelings and build confidence in their own voice.
Are family support sessions available for blended families in Darwin?

We provide inclusive support tailored to the unique dynamics of Darwin and the Northern Territory, with a focus on constructive communication and building lasting peace in every home.We recognise that many NT families come from complex and diverse backgrounds. A number of the families we support are engaged with the Australian Defence Force or work away from home and family, for example in FIFO roles.
